An Open Letter to Raz-B

Found this ^^ over at Rhymes With Snitch and just had to comment.

Dear Raz-B,

I'm gonna start off by saying that I'm not going to judge you and that this letter is not an attempt to throw any type of shade. To be honest, I don't know if what you've said about your former bandmates is true in full, in part or not at all. I wasn't there, it wasn't me and it doesn't matter.

Because that's not what I want to talk about.

What I want to talk about is your whole approach. Blame aside, turning an alleged molestation into a side show while promoting your album at the SAME TIME just isn't a good look. The reason why people are criticizing you is not (necessarily) because they don't believe you.

It's because your actions are sketchy.

Did you hear me? S-K-E-T-C-H-Y.

Even if all of this stuff is true, you're still trying to sell an album and we all know that you've gotta get publicity somehow. I'm not saying that you shouldn't make music anymore or that you shouldn't speak your mind. But what I am saying is that you need to PICK A LANE.

And stay in it.

Either you promote your album or you go to court and handle your business. But if  I see another crazy ass tweet about "booty rape" (your words not mine) next to a tweet that says "Have you bought my new album yet" I'm going to throat chop you.

That is all.

Have a Blessed Thanksgiving,

Sincerely,

The Bossiest Black Girl You Will Ever Meet.

Remember When Kim Kardashian Used to Like Black Guys?

Rumors have been flying that Kim Kardashian has set her sights on Halle Berry's baby's daddy Gabriel Aubrey. It's just like Kim to be a sloppy second. But hey, one woman's deadbeat is another woman's treasure I suppose...

Christina Milian's Single Mom Swag

Despite the fact that her ex-husband The Dream has been seen galloping around wherever with Kim Kardashian, Christina Milian and baby Violet were all smiles backstage at the AMA boutique in L.A. Doesn't she just look great in this pic???

I'm watching BET and This is What Came On

I know this may seem off topic, but I'm watching BET right now, and Down in the Delta playing. And of course Loretta Devine is in it. She's really grown on me as an actress. I just wish that she wasn't so typecast all the time. It must suck to always been the loudest person in every black person film. Who could forget her epically hilarious performance in THIS movie:

Sackly.

Rihanna in a Black Person Wig at the AMAs

AMA pictures are already rolling in (yay!!) and this is the first one that I've found. And of course it's a picture of RiRi. *Sigh*... Lets watch and discuss.

Now, I've always thought that Rihanna was a beautiful girl. But I also think that part of her appeal is her ability to sort of "de-ethnisize" herself (yes, I made that word up) as much as possible. From her nose job to her alleged skin lightening, she's never really given off much of a "black girl" vibe to me. And seeing her in this wig--this burgundy, East 94th and Hartford, round the way, corner store, everyday girl looking thing--it just threw me off. So I guess I should say that I have "no opinion." I don't love it and I don't hate it. I don't really think anything. Except that she could have chosen a different look.

Thoughts?

Proof That A Mind is Still a Terrible Thing to Waste

I've seen this video of Soulja Boy professing his so-called love for professional hooker/drama queen Kat Stacks on several blogs today.  Well, it's actually more liked a backhanded compliment than anything. Also, am I the only person who thinks that his voice sounded really high pitched?

Bossy Black Girl is HERE!!

The first post is always the hardest and most awkward.

Best to get if out of the way now so we can move on to the good stuff.

A quick introduction:

I'm a bossy black girl living somewhere in the Midwest with nothing better to do than stick my nose in other people's business. Especially celebrities. This is my first blog and I'm hoping that over time we can become friends :)
